A 22 year old female presents with a
history of headaches of several weeks duration. The headaches are most severe
in the morning and associated with nausea. She was on long term tetracycline
for acne and was also using high doses of vitamin B complex supplements and
vitamin C as she had heard that this carried health benefits. On examination
of her visual fields you note enlargement of the blind spot, there was
bilateral papilloedema and left lateral rectus palsy.
A CT scan of her head does not show a
mass lesion.
