A 26 year old male who has recently returned from a holiday in Sri Lanka presents with fever, cough, wheezing and breathlessness. On examination you note he is febrile, there is no clubbing, on auscultation of his chest you note bilateral scattered crepitations and rhonchi.

Investigations

Hb 24.6 g/dL

WBC 30

Neutrophils 2.5

Lymphocytes 1.75

Eosinophils 25.75

Chest X-ray shows bilateral military mottling

In this patient you would commence treatment with:

a)      Mebendazole

b)      Diethylcarbamazine

c)      Praziquantel

d)     Levamisole

e)      Pentamidine
