A twenty four year old female who is known to have
ulcerative colitis presents with an ulcer above the medial malleolus. This is
large has a necrotic base and the edges are undermined.
In this patient:

Immediate treatment should be with broad spectrum antibiotics

High dose steroids should be used in the first instance

Surgery is the first line treatment of the ulcer
